If you already have a sealing machine then you might have wondered if you would be able to seal hot drinks. Consequently, the good news is that with the right kind of sealer machine, you can!
Sealing any hot liquid can be dangerous because there will be steam built up which will create pressure and could cause the drink to explode. Conversely, to get around this you will need to put a small hole into the sealing film to relieve the pressure.
The first option is a pin that is on the side of the machine which you can manually press every time you want to seal a drink that is hot or carbonated. This is the best option if you will only seal hot or carbonated drinks occasionally.
The second option is a pin that is specially installed onto the machine so that it automatically pokes a hole into the sealer film every time. Generally, this is the best option if you are only sealing hot or carbonated liquids.

Not all cups or containers can also be used for sealing hot drinks or soups. Paper Cups are usually the safest option and paper cups can even be customized and sealed with paper sealing films!

Sealing hot soups or broths is the basically same as sealing hot tea. Our customers usually use the automatic pin like in the picture above. Albeit most soups and broths also use a container with a wider diameter which works great with our 120mm Jumbo Sealer Machine or Custom Size Sealer Machine.
